Synopsis:-

Special Ops 1.5 is a 2021 Indian Spy Thriller Web series that will be released on 12th November.

The series consists of Kay Kay Menon, Aftab Shivdasani, Aadil Khan, Vinay Pathak, Gautami Kapoor in prominent roles. Special Ops 1.5 will skip theatrical release and is directly premiering through Disney Plus Hotstar on 12th November.

The Special Ops 1.5 series is directed by Neeraj Panday and Shivam Nair. It is produced by Friday Storytellers.

This series belongs to the leagues of “Family man” and “The Spy“.

It has finally got an OTT release on 12th November  2021. Special Ops 1.5 can be streamed on Disney plus Hotstar video streaming platform if you own its subscription.

Best things from the Trailer:

• Special Ops 1.5 Trailer looks good and stylish with some cool action sequences.
• It is a prequel mini-series but still the production quality is excellent as the 1st season and we should expect another cracker of the series.
• Series looks finely colorful too and we should appreciate the cinematography of the series
• Acting of all the actors looks good and I don’t think we will face any problem on that front.
• Series release is quite near and will be released on 12th November.
• Aftab Shivdasani in a role of a RAW officer will be a breath of fresh air.
• Another Neeraj Panday gem is on the cards.

Worst things about the Trailer:

• Himmat Singh’s young face looks like a slightly fake one, further work of VFX could have made him flawless but the body language of a young officer is on point.

Plot:-

Special Ops 1.5 is a series about the young days of Himmat Singh as a RAW Agent.

Abbas Sheikh(Vinay Pathak) is being questioned by investigators about the young life of Himmat Singh as they are investigating the corruption charges on Himmat Singh. Himmat Singh had resigned in his earlier days because he was not able to utilize all the resources due to the internal politics of the organization and the lethargic working of the government machinery.

When most of the RAW officers were honey-trapped by the foreign agencies, Himmat Singh was again asked to rescue the agency from the peril He along with Aftab’s character starts a journey to fulfill the mission of rescuing Maninder Singh, a national threat to our Country.

Reasons to watch this series

1) Kay Kay Menon’s masterclass in acting.

2)Neeraj Pandey’s direction and narration are even more complex than 1st season.

3)4 episode long series with episodes around 45 minutes works quite well for fast-paced complex narration.

4)This universe of Neeraj Pandey will continue.

5) Special Ops 1.5 centers around very few characters but still, there are numerous breaking points where the story excites you after a few monotonous scenes.

Reasons to avoid this series:

1) Only if you don’t like this universe of Special Ops, otherwise you should watch this.

Whether to watch it or not: You should watch it. Strong suggestion.
