Trailer:-
Mai Trailer was released on 24 March 2022.
Best things from the Trailer of Mai:
- The plot of the series looks like an intense thriller.
- The color grading used in the movie is brownish in nature and works perfectly on screen.
- The cinematography and background music throughout the trailer is just brilliant and evokes intense moments perfectly.
- Sakshi Tanwar single-handedly steals away all the limelight.
- Mai looks like a smartly edited and no-nonsense series by the edit of the Trailer.
- Content like this along with “Dasvi” is what Netflix should focus on to leave an impact into the Indian OTT space.
The worst thing(s) about the Mai trailer:
- Why back-to-back Trailer released from Netflix? Yesterday we saw the “Dasvi” trailer and now this trailer has been released one day after that trailer. There should be some 2 to 3 days gap at least so that this kinda good content could be promoted wisely.
Plot:-
The plot of Mai is about Sheel, a woman who is determined to uncover the truth about the death of her daughter, Supriya, essayed by Wamiqa Gabbi when she doubts that the system is hiding something from him and there is a dark reality behind the case. She takes the path of violence and starts a spree of crimes and makes us connect with her inner devils.
As per the words of the director”The viewers are going to witness a very layered narrative that is full of twists and turns, showcasing how far a mother will go for love and in search of the truth”.

Review:
Reasons to watch this web series:
- A complete performance from Sakshi Tanwar when she was in revenge mode but as a caring mother, she was a big letdown.
- The cinematography of the show is good.
Reasons to avoid this web series:
- Too many characters in the show
- Highly predictable events.
- It is a 6 episode web series but it could easily have been edited as a movie and mat would have worked better.
Whether to watch it or not: Only saving grace of the show is Sakshi’s supermom performance. If you wanna see this for 6 hours then you can go for it.
Rating: 4/10 (Shoddy product)
